Ever went for a motorcycle ride? And ended up having to run for your life? No? Based upon real events, "Arrhythmia" tells the tale of a naive girl who takes a motorcycle ride with a stranger. Screen shots here.
This past February I was the DP on the short film, "A Heart's Journey". Written and starring Rahvaunia Johnson, directed by Sarah Poindexter. Screenshots can be found here.

"Endangered Species", a short film I shot years ago and destined to be long forgotten, won the Best Drama Short Film at the "Action On Film International Film Festival" in Long Beach, California.
Shot on a DVX-100 under the most adverse conditions (for starters, the 110+ degree heat caused my DVX-100 to overheat, often writing corrupted footage to tape), the original cut of the film was, well, less than stellar. A year later, Director Chandu Gupta and Producer John Trujillo wanted to recut the film into something wonderful, only to discover that the master tapes were lost in a foreclosure auction.
But John persevered, and discovered a hard-drive with *some* of the footage available, and pulled the rest of the footage from a low quality DVD of the original cut. Chandu created new storyboards, and editor Curt Norris put the whole thing together, to produce a short far exceeding anyone's expectations.
Screenshots of my "early" (i.e. newbie) work in a few weeks.

Just wrapped principal photography on Marc Clebanoff's second feature, "The Pink Conspiracy". Written by Marc Clebanoff & Brian Miller, Directed by Brian Miller, Director of Photography Tim Otholt (that's me!).
Synopsis: "Unlucky in love, Dave uncovers that all the women in his life have plotted against him to make his life a living hell."
This movie has a massive cast for a ridiculously small indie movie - Introducing Brad Snedeker as the lead, co-starring Mercedes McNab (Angel, Buffy The Vampire Slayer), Sarah Thompson (7th Heaven, Angel), Mackenzie Firgens (Groove), with cameos from the amazing James Russo (95 tv & film credits!), Dayton Callie (Deadwood), Chad Everett (E-Ring, Mullholland Drive, 80+ other credits), Tiny Lister, Tricia O'Kelley, Frank Kreuger, and Tara Karsian. Shot on a Sony HDW-F900, using a less-than-skeleton crew, it's turned out pretty well. Our first pass at a trailer can be found here.
Finally! "Wages of Sin", Aaron Robson's horror feature I was the DP/lighting director on last October is finally here! It's some of my best work, and it's hot! - so take a look at how beautiful a low budget horror movie can be!
I just finished principal photography on the hilarious short film "Agenda", by first time writer/director Edwin Benton. Starring Kareem Grimes and Wesley Thompson, the story is about a young man who can't get any respect in the workplace. Due to the minimum focus distance with the DVX-100 anamorphic adapter, we decided to shoot it on the director's Sony HDR-FX1 in 30 frame mode. Although the image is darn good, the light sensitivity and latitude on that little camera bites, especially when dealing with dark skin against white walls. Screen shots in a few weeks.
"Low", a short film I shot about a woman dealing with HIV, won the Audience Award at the 2006 Denver Pan African Film Festival. Directed by Brian Stemmler and starring Tanjareen Martin and Philip-Anthony Traylor. Screen shots here.
I have had the blessing to work as the producer on episode #1 of Victor Vu's "Mysterious World" ("Gioi Huyen Bi"), a Vietnamese mini-series in the same vein as Rod Sterling's "The Twilight Zone". Earlier tonight, Victor and the cast finished a quick ADR session, leaving Victor with the responsibility of finishing the final dialog track. I would like to thank the cast and crew of "Gioi Huyen Bi" - you all worked so long and so very hard. Thank you very much!

Directed by Jason Rodriguez and starring Paul Vroom and Darin Cooper. Jason, the amazing person that he is, was the director/camera operator and I was the DP/gaffer. Screen shots here.
