READ THIS FIRST
First of all, I LOVE LIGHTS. I am so passionate about lighting that I have managed to buy more lights than what fits on BOTH grip trucks put together (150+ lights total; 20 on the 1-ton, 28 on the 3-ton, 46 on the 4-ton, and an additional 90+ lights in reserve). To reiterate: IF I SHOWED UP ON SET WITH BOTH GRIP TRUCKS LOADED, I STILL HAVE MORE STUFF THAT I DON'T HAVE SPACE FOR. Email me a list of "must haves" and a list of "if it fits on the truck it would be nice". Many times the last job has a different load out than what's listed here. Call ahead to verify that the truck is loaded with what you need.
For example:
DP Scenario 1 - "We're doing daylight interiors in a small living room, so bring two 1200 HMIs and four 4' x 4 Kinos, but leave all the tungsten at home. If you can fit a 575 HMI that would be nice but it's not necessary. I need to block out two windows with two floppies, so 10 c-stands is enough."
DP Scenario 2 - "We are shooting a music video on a small stage, and I need exactly 2 x 2ks, 4 x 1ks, 2 x 650s, 2 combo stands, 6 beefy babies, and 8 c-stands for flags. Bring 12 stingers since we are on house power only."
Secondly, I am always buying more stuff, so if there is something small you don't see here, give me a call and see if I have one. This indie skateboard slider rides on top of standard 1-¼ speedrail; it's length is limited only by the length of the speedrail under it. I carry 2', 3', 4', 6', 8', and 12' speedrail on the truck, allowing for 6 different slider lengths. |

However, I also own an extra 90+ lights not on this list, such as 12k HMIs, 4k HMIs, 9-light MaxiBrutes, 10k and 5k tungsten fresnels, source fours, and dozens and dozens of additional smaller tungsten lamps (i.e. 11 more 1k fresnels, 13 more 650w fresnels, etc). This optional package provides up to (2) small and (2) medium tungsten softboxes (24" x 36" and 36" x 48" respectively). The two medium Chimeras include a 10" ring which can fit the 2k mighty mole [and if needed, the Mole 1.2k HMI par]. The two small Chimeras are part of the Woodylight -- an amazing "on-the-fly" pure tungsten 250w / 500w / 750w / 1k 2900k, OR 1k 3200k lighting fixture with full dimming. |
